Two men aged 42 and 27 were arrested in Limassol on Thursday night after police found half a kilo of cocaine in their possession.
With one of the suspects was a 10 year old child.
Police said they are investigating a case of conspiracy to commit an offences, illegal possession and use of drugs, illegal possession with intent to supply and money laundering.
The anti-narcotics squad placed an open area in the Limassol district under surveillance and late in the afternoon saw four people talking, and holding a nylon bag.
On spotting the police they tried to flee. Two — aged 42 and 27, both Limassol residents were cut off. Police picked up a bag allegedly thrown to the ground by the 27 year old in which they found 500 grams of cocaine.
They found another 9 grams, a bag with traces of cocaine, precision scales and a knife with traces of cocaine.
In the possession of the 27 year old police found €435 in cash. They also found €2375 in cash in the car of the other suspect.
