A nine year old Limassol primary school pupil has told police that his teacher assaulted him.
CyBC said the incident occurred yesterday, adding that the boy has gone to the police station accompanied by his grandfather to report the alleged incident.
According to the child’s allegations, the teacher told him off and when the boy responded, the teacher moved threateningly towards him. In order to avoid the teacher, the boy moved back, fell and hurt himself.
He felt dizzy and nauseous on his return home from school yesterday and went to the hospital where he was administered first aid and discharged.
CyBC said the boy is making a statement to police and is then expected to be examined by a medical examiner.
It added that police officers are also taking statements from fellow pupils at the school while the teacher will be asked to give a statement.
