Limassol Municipality has appealed for discipline among residents, saying it was important not to wreck everything that has been achieved so far in the fight against coronavirus.
The appeal came as Limassolians flocked to the coastal promenade and to the sea following the introduction of the first phase of the easing of restrictive measures.
The municipality said that over the past two months, everyone has made an unprecedented effort to deal with the Covid-19 outbreak with huge sacrifices.
“As a result of this collective effort, the results from the spread of the pandemic in our town so far give rise to optimism and justifiably we all feel great satisfaction and pride,” the municipality said.
Unfortunately, in the past few days a small group of residents was placing at risk what has been achieved through their behaviour.
It appealed to all to stick to protective measures and said that it was working with authorities to do its part.
