Limassol police are looking for a man who threatened a kiosk employee with an axe and ran off with the money in the till.
The robbery was committed in central Limassol last night.
Police said that the 29 year old woman employee had reported that a man with a white hoodie had walked into the kiosk on Anexartisias street holding an axe and demanded the day’s takings.
She said she refused and resisted and he pushed her to the floor, grabbed €619 from the till and fled on foot.
The man is described as young. He carried a black and white backpack, spoke Greek and had an injury on his left hand.
According to police investigations, the man is suspected of having attempted to break into a souvenir shop nearby a little earlier.
