Limassol: Home of Apollon president burgled

The house of the president of Apollon Limassol Nicos Kirzis was burgled on Saturday evening, with burglars making off with watches valued at some 20,000 euro, philenews reports.

Kirzis left his house at 6.08 pm to attend his team’s game with Anorthosis at the Tsirion stadium. The burglar alarm sounded at 6.40 pm, forcing Kirzis to leave the pitch before the 7 pm kick off.

His team went on to beat Anorthosis 2-0 — the first defeat for the Famagusta team this season.
