Two men and two women were remanded in custody for eight days by Limassol district court on Sunday as suspects in a case involving 800 grams of cocaine.
The men are aged 56 and 20 and the women 68 and 40.
They were arrested yesterday after police staked out the houses of the two women after a tip off.
At around 3 pm on Saturday the two men were seen exiting the house of the 68 year old woman and driving to the house of the 40 year old. A few minutes later they left the second house carrying a paper bag.
Their car was stopped and searched by police who found 425 grams in the possession of the 20 year old and a small pouch under the driver’s seat with cocaine.
Overall, police found 149 small bags with cocaine, precision scales and €10,330 in cash.
Police also searched the houses. In the house of the 40 year old woman they found another 350 grams of cocaine and 18 bullets.
The four were arrested as suspects in the import and possession of drugs, possession with intent to supply, conspiracy to commit an offence, money laundering and possession of ammunition.
