Lebanese man arrested for threats on social media against Cyprus President

Anti-terrorism police unit members on Wednesday arrested a Lebanese national illegally living in Cyprus in connection with threats against the President of the Republic.

Police are also looking into possible terrorism-related acts by the Lebanese man who was arrested at a village in Limassol district.

Investigations into possible terrorism acts are of preventive nature, police told Philenews.

The threats against the President were made on social media.
