An intoxicated man from Sweden threw Limassol Hospital into disarray in the early hours of Thursday when he assaulted a police guard who told him to stop shouting.
The man had shown up at A&E to seek medical care for a sprained ankle when he suddenly started shouting unsettling everyone present.
A police guard from the hospital then arrived asking him to settle down, and the Swede responded by hitting the officer on the head and grabbing him from the tie.
The guard then informed the man of his committed offences and proceeded with an eventful arrest that the man resisted to.
He was then transported to Limassol police headquarters and placed in custody at the detention centre.
