Reduction of fuel prices disappears in three days

Relevant News

The huge increase of fuel prices after the war in Ukraine had as a result the skyrocketing of prices in Cyprus as well.

The government’s decision to reduce heating oil price by 6.4 cents and petrol and oil by 8.3 cents resulted in a reduction for only two days since, almost simultaneously, petrol companies proceeded with increases. So, as of last Tuesday, the average price of oil is more expensive by 4.3 cents per litre, the price of heating oil is more expensive by 6.4 cents per litre, while the price of 95-octane petrol appears cheaper by 3.6 cents per litre.

The Consumers’ Union denounced that the real reduction at petrol stations was smaller than the fuel tax reduction decided by the Government.
