Representatives of Nicosia’s six Municipalities (Strovolos, Lakatamia, Aglandjia, Nicosia, Engomi, and Agios Dometios) have recently worked together and submitted a joint action plan aiming to receive structural funds.
The six municipalities have worked together in past as well and had managed to draw European funds.
Their action plan includes actions that have to take place on behalf of the state and in this section the six municipalities are in fact pushing for infrastructure projects like the tram and a new archaeological museum.
According to a written bulletin, the whole attempt is aiming to stop fragmentary and often contradictory approaches by the municipalities.
