Foreign Trade Statistics January-October 2018

The Statistical Service of Cyprus published the monthly electronic publication Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (by commodity and country)” for January-October 2018. It includes detailed quantity and value data on imports and exports of domestically produced goods and foreign goods.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports in January-October 2018 amounted to €7.310,7 mn as compared to €6.454,9 mn in January-October 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU member states) in January-October 2018 were €3.872,6 mn compared to €2.506,6 mn in January-October 2017. The trade deficit was €3.438,1 mn in January-October 2018 compared to €3.948,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b) Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January-October 2018 were €1.377,1 mn compared to €1.000,3 mn in January-October 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January-October 2018 were €1.288,8  mn compared to €898,8 mn in January-October 2017.  Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January-October 2018 were €79,5 mn compared to €85,8 mn in January-October 2017.
