Due to his meeting with the Central Bank governor, Finance Minister Konstantinos Petrides said that there is no danger to the Cyprus banking system due to the sanctions.
After the briefing he had, Petrides noted that even extreme scenarios have been analyzed, regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war, due to which the whole tourist industry is affected with consequences also on trade and the supply chain. He added that inflation is expected to increase due to increased oil prices.
