Hermes Airports LTD on Thursday announced that it will construct two solar parks in the area of Larnaca and Paphos airports.
The energy produced by the parks will be used to power the airports.
The managing company of the airports said that the solar park in Paphos will have a capacity of 1.1 MW and will be constructed inside the airport.
The one in Larnaca will have a capacity of 3.5 MW.
The Department of Environment has already given the green light for the construction.
