PwC Cyprus Event “PwC runs for Life”

Relevant News

PwC Cyprus held the “PwC runs for Life” event on Saturday, April 13, at Athalassa National Forest Park. The main objective of the event is to promote the organisational values of PwC Cyprus and to further strengthen relations among staff.

The event was first held two years ago on the occasion of the loss of PwC Cyprus management executive, Hara Granath in 2016. Due to the high number of participants that the event attracted, this year PwC decided to expand the event by adding more races.

This year’s event included the 3K race entitled ‘Walk for Hara’ in memory of Hara Granath, the 5K race entitled ‘Run for Andreas’ in memory of PwC Cyprus, staff member Andreas Iosif, who unexpectedly passed away in the summer of 2018 and the 500-metre race for young children. The event was massively attended by hundreds of executives, members of the organisation’s staff and their families, from across Cyprus.

In his address at the event Evgenios Evgeniou, CEO of PwC Cyprus, noted that “For all of us at PwC, it is important to provide our people, who are the most valuable asset of our organisation, with the right guidance and all the necessary tools to support their good physical and mental health as well as well-being. Your presence here today is proof of the importance we attach to the power of participation, teamwork and cooperation because only by working together can we make a positive difference,” he concluded.
