“Opus One” is a new, luxury, 10-storey hotel in coastal Sotira which is to be constructed by “Giovanni Kataskevastiki”.
It will be situated just across Sun City Spa Resort & Residences which is one of the latest developments in the Famagusta district in which the Giovani Group also has a stake.
“Opus One” will be 35 to 40 metres high with an estimated cost of €10 million, according to the submitted report of the project.
The new hotel will have 87 guest rooms, lounge areas, wellness and fitness facilities, a children’s playroom, shops, restaurants (on the ground and ninth floor), as well as a pool with Jacuzzi etc.
In addition, it will be surrounded by green areas, landscaped gardens and have underground as well as ground floor parking.
The development provides for a total of 62 parking spaces, four of which will be allocated to disabled users and one for electric vehicles. In addition, 14 underground parking spaces will be for bicycles only.
The southern end of the development is on Ayia Thekla Street, while the western end is on the A3 Motorway F322 (Sotira-Dherynia) which also connects Larnaca International Airport with Dhekelia and Paralimni.
Construction work is set to start in 2020 with completion estimated in about 18 months. The project’s presentation took place at Sotira’s Municipal Theatre at the end of January.
