Lois Builders: New project of €17.6m in Saudi Arabia

Lois Builders are getting ready to kick-off an ambitious project of €17.6 million in Saudi Arabia, according to INSIDER information.

This consists of a residential camp for employees located at Fadhili Gas Plant in Jubail.  The project involves 2000 villas, infrastructure work and all associated facilities.

The total surface area of construction by the Cypriot company for ‘Fadhili Bachelor Camp’ project is 124,000 sq. metres. And the number of staff to be employed will fluctuate from about 100 when the project kicks off in mid-April to a gradual peak of 800 within two to three months.

Lois Builders have pursued opportunities arising even outside the geographic ‘boundaries’ of Cyprus and also entered Saudi Arabia’s construction industry. Its subsidiary in the Kingdom has already successfully completed projects, thus establishing its presence in the country.

Specifically, the company has undertaken eleven projects so far, three of which continue to be active. These are: Dirab Airbase, SMC Central Kitchen and Fadhili Bachelor Camp.

In addition to the works in Saudi Arabia, the parent company of Lois Builders, which was founded in 1977 by Sotos Lois, has a total of 225 projects in its portfolio.

And it continues its successful path in the domestic market having recently completed and delivered successful projects such as the new passenger terminal at Limassol Port, the new Nicosia City Hall and Aglandjia Avenue which is a joint venture with Phoenix Constructions.
