CyGas says committed to planning introduction of natural gas in Cyprus

Relevant News

CyGas submitted an application for the management of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility on Friday, April 24 to the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority (CERA), within the framework of its strategic decisions for the energy upgrade of the Republic of Cyprus.

Noting that the restrictive measures in regard to the COVID-19 continue to be universally applicable throughout Cyprus, the application was submitted electronically based on the decisions of CERA.

CyGas remains committed to both the development of an infrastructure for liquefied natural gas and the creation of a natural gas market in Cyprus. The plan for an advanced and promising energy future for Cyprus continues to be implemented, as even now, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, all the relevant necessary steps are being taken.
