Chrysalis LEAP announces the opening of the application phase for the 2020 EIT Climate- KIC Regional Innovation Scheme Accelerator Programme, which is addressed to start-ups that are focused in the fields of sustainable development and climate change.

More specifically the programme is addressed to start-ups that have surpassed the idea stage and are in the process of making their entry to the market by finding and securing their first customers, as well as engaging in discussions with potential investors.

Chrysalis LEAP, the fist cleantech start-up accelerator in Cyprus, is a regional partner of Climate-KIC, one of the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), the EU body tasked with creating sustainable European growth while dealing with the global challenges of our time.

Through the programme, besides the financial support, start-ups will receive top-notch training in Cyprus and abroad from expert trainers with several years of experience, as well as constant guidance and coaching throughout the programme.

The training will be designed according to the stage of development of each start up and it will include the generation and validation of their business model, as well as an introduction to Financial & Business Planning.

Funding can reach €50,000, depending on the maturity level of each start-up, and it’s equity free.

Following an assessment of all applications received, eligible candidates will be invited to pitch their start-up in front of a jury that will comprise individuals from Cyprus and abroad with extensive knowledge and experience on entrepreneurial topics.

The application form can be found on the Climate- KIC website (https://www.climate-kic.org/ris/accelerator), as well as on all Chrysalis LEAP social media accounts. The deadline to apply is March 1.

Participation to the programme is free.
