In Xeros Potamos Valley – Panagia tou Sinti monastery – 12 km

The walk starts at Ais Yiannis village and goes downhill and west to Xeros Potamos and Malounta watermill. Then it continues downstream, reaching Panagia tou Sinti monastery (returning to the nearby bridge at the end). A walk in one of the beautiful uninhabited valleys in Cyprus with extensive cultural heritage (we pass by three or four watermills and Panagia tou Sinti monastery). For this specific trip we cross the river a few times (three) so participants should be aware of this.
The trip starts in Nicosia at 08:30 and ends in Nicosia at about 18:00.

Fee: Paid in advance. The price per participant including transport from/to Nicosia, (or possibly Limassol) is 50 Euro. Without transportation it is 30 Euro.

Who can participate
Individuals from the age of twelve can participate in these walks, provided they have a reasonable degree of fitness. The walks are relatively easy, and last for a few hours.

The trips (in our car) start from Nicosia and many continue via Limassol. The duration of all trips is at least six hours, and in many cases it is over eight hours.

Number of participants
As a rule we keep the number of participants in these trips to under or near ten in order to offer a more personalised service and manage the logistical issues more efficiently.

Price per person (adult or minor) in our MPV car : 50 Euro
Price per adult in own transportation : 30 Euro
Price per escorted minor in own transportation : 20 Euro

Payment takes place at the time of booking via bank transfer or paypal.

What to bring along
Sturdy shoes (with grip), clean t-shirt to change after walk, towel, possibly slippers to put on after walk, sun protection, hat and sunglasses, loads of water and snacks.

What’s included
Guiding for the walk. Logistics arrangement in the cases where the walk is linear. Transportation for those coming in our car.

There are cases (like this one) where the group will be left alone for some minutes while we arrange car transportation.

Our responsibility
Cyprus Walks Etc guided walks are either on official trails or on dirt roads. We are not liable in case of participant injuries that may be caused in the course of these excursions.

Relevant Insurance
We expect all participants to be covered by relevant insurance during our expeditions.

Consent for minors
Minors from the age of twelve may participate in our expeditions, either escorted, or unescorted provided we have the written consent by their parents (guardians).

Meeting point(s)
For those coming in our car, In Nicosia we meet those who will participate in our car, opposite St. Barnabas church and in Limassol at or very near one of the highway roundabouts. Upon our return we deliver the participants to the pick up location (unless otherwise agreed).

Cyprus Walks Etc reserves the right to cancel an excursion and return the relevant funds. Cancellation may take place if the confirmed bookings for a specific excursion are limited.
Participants in their own transportation may cancel the trip and receive full refund. Participants in our MPV car receive no refunds if they cancel a trip.
