Twenty three non-Cypriots were spotted at 5.30 am on a road in a village in the Nicosia district and taken to Peristerona Police Station to determine the conditions under which they arrived in Cyprus.
The group is made up of 16 men, two women and five children.
Social Services and Civil Defence have been informed.
