Paphos District Court on Friday sentenced a 30 year old man to four months in prison, suspended for three years, after his three year old son was found wandering through the streets of Paphos at 3 am on August 15.
The man had pleaded guilty to violating the law on the protection of children, abuse and abandoning a child under 16.
The little boy was found by a citizen who contacted the police who handed him over to social services. The mother was working the night shift at a tourist unit and the father had gone to take her some money. Both the parents are Bulgarian.
