An 88 year old woman has died after being hit by a car in Nicosia, the second road fatality this year.
Police said that under conditions that are being investigated, Androniki Christodoulou from Nicosia was hit by a car driven by a 56 year old woman at around 5.15 pm on Tuesday.
The elderly woman was rushed to Nicosia Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries at around 9 pm.
Pera Choriou police station is investigating.
Last week, a biker was killed in Limassol after he was hit by a car making an illegal right turn.
