Police were on site on Panayia Trachonas church in Strovolos today, as dozens of civilians attended the service to pay respects to the remains of Christian orthodox Saint Ephraim.
Officers conducted checks and will fine people who have not sent an SMS, not wearing a mask or not keeping a safe distance.
It appeared that all the relevant protocols had been adhered too, with only a specific amount of faithful allowed in the church each time.
