“I love my city” art competition for children: The winning entries (photos)

The Larnaca Municipality organised a painting competition for children aged 1-14 years themed “I love my city” to encourage their creativity amid the lockdown and presented the winning artworks on Friday.

The municipality received a total of 84 creations through email and Viber during the competition, which lasted from March 27 until April 30.

The children were divided into three categories based on age; the first category was 4-6 years, the second 7-10 years and the third 11-14 years.

A committee evaluated the submitted works and declared the top three winners for each category.

See below the list of winners and their creations:

1st category: 4 – 6 years old

1st place: Andreas Kleanthi Ioannides, 5 years old

2nd place: Marilia Tini, 6 years old

3rd place: Charalambos Lazarou, 6 years old

2nd category: 7 – 10 years old

1st place: Dorotheos-Alkinoos Fotiou, 8.5 years old

2nd place: Karolina Yordanova, 8 years old

3rd place: Natalia Zeniou, 9 years old

3rd category: 11 – 14 years old

1st place: Liran Shoukhet, 12 years old

2nd place: Aristos Christou, 14 years old

3rd place: Maria Despoti, 12 years old

All children who participated will receive a participation diploma and the top three winners per category will receive a package with art supplies.
