A low pressure system affecting Cyprus is bringing down temperatures to their seasonal average, with the weekend seeing October-like conditions.
Fine skies today for most of the day, but turning increasingly cloudy at intervals. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate force three to four and in coastal regions, strong force four to five, over slight to moderate seas and moderate in windward regions.
Temperatures will rise to 32 degrees Celsius inland, the southern and eastern coastal regions, 28 in the rest of the coastal areas and 23 over the mountains.
Clear skies this evening with slight to moderate seas. Temperatures will drop to 17 degrees Celsius inland, 20 in coastal regions and 11 over the mountains.
Tomorrow and the weekend will be slightly overcast, with a gradual drop in temperatures by Saturday and then going up on Sunday, close to the seasonal average.
