A colourful, playful, ultra-stylish funky space has opened up in Engomi in Nicosia from the team of Vinocultura. Funky Vino serves some of the best quality wine out there that is also, importantly, well-priced. The wine list is divided into sections according to the type of wine with fun facts under each category added by the owner, Andreas Kyprianou. The cocktails are the creations of bartender Vaggelis Spetzouras; the list here is also divided in user friendly categories, such as aperitif, gin-based, rum-based, tequila-based cocktails etc. The menu, set to change seasonally features a number of creative dishes to include salads with chow mein noodles, various types of pizzeta and a range of funky dishes to share such as tuna ceviche taco, chilli con carne, prawn spring roll and platters with a variety of antipasti. There are also three types of sliders (mini burgers) and cheese and cold cut platters. Note that at Funky Vino, brunch is served on weekends while on weekdays there’s the popular happy hour ( 17.00-19.00). Regular DJ sets take place here, check their facebook page.
