The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced a call for expression of interest for the Business Clinics Programme. This is designed for early stage enterprises – with less than 2 years of operations – with viable business ideas and business plans in order to support them in different areas, so that they grow and become sustainable businesses.
The programme is available for 30 new businesses. Each new business will have the opportunity to receive up to 32 free hours of individual coaching sessions with Cypriot or international experts. These experts will be carefully selected to effectively assist new businesses in areas such as business strategy, marketing, operational excellence, financial management etc.
The Business Clinics programme is offered within the framework of the Advice for Small Businesses (ASB), a three-year initiative implemented by the EBRD on behalf of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry to support Cypriot SMEs in improving competitiveness, strengthening performance and boosting growth. The programme is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Anna Filipova, National Programme Manager for the ABS programme in Cyprus, stated: “Business coaching is crucial for any new business, helping it to develop and reach its full potential. As participating new businesses become more advanced, they will also be given the access to grants to procure business advisory services and to potential financing opportunities by the EBRD.”
The deadline for eligible applications is May 17, 2019.
