Fine with cloudy intervals, dust from Thursday

Weak high  pressure is affecting the area.. Weak low pressure is expected from Thursday with dust in the atmosphere at intervals, the met office said on Tuesday.

Today will see sunny spells with intervals of cloud while some scattered light showers are expected later. Light snow fall is expected in the Troodos mountains.

Temperatures today will be 17 C inland, around 18 C on the coasts and around 11 C in the mountains.

Tonight will be cloudy at intervals and scattered showers are expected mainly in the west, the north and in the mountains. Light snowfall is expected in the higher Troodos peaks. Temperatures will fall to  6 C inland, around 9 C on the coasts and 1 C in the mountains.

Wednesday will be mainly cloudy. Temperatures are expected to remain the same.

Thursday will be cloudy at intervals. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected mainly in the afternoon. Snowfall is expected in the higher Troodos peaks.

Friday will be partly cloudy with scattered showers at intervals and snowfall in the higher Troodos peaks.

Temperatures will edge up on Thursday and drop slightly on Friday, remaining close to average for the time of year.

There is 56 cm of snow at Troodos Square.
