It will be a fine and sunny, with temperatures inland and in the mountains slightly below average for the time of year today and tomorrow.
In its early morning weather bulletin, the Met Office said that weak high pressure is beginning to affect the area.
Today will be mainly fine and temperatures will rise to 29 C inland, around 27 C on the coasts and around 18 C in the mountains.
Tonight will be mainly fine. Temperatures will fall to 14 C inland, on the west and north coasts, around 16 C on the remaining coasts and around 9 C in the mountains.
Tuesday will be mainly fine with increased cloud at intervals. Wednesday and Thursday will also be mainly fine though on Thursday there will be increased cloud at intervals with the possibility of isolated showers in the west and north.
Temperatures are expected to remain at the same levels on Tuesday, at slightly below the seasonal average inland and in the mountains. They will edge up on Wednesday, mainly inland and in the mountains to close to average for the time of year but drop again on Thursday
