Police booked 50 citizens and four establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for violation of measures aiming to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
They had carried out a total of 7,108 inspections.
In Nicosia, eight citizens were booked after 1,091 inspections, while in Limassol 15 got fines after 2,981 checks.
In Larnaca, 626 checks led to only one establishment receiving a fine, while 1,108 checks in Paphos led to 10 citizens and three premises handed fined.
In Famagusta, 940 checks led to 16 citizens getting fines while in Morphou one citizen was booked after a total of 454 inspections.
Marine police carried out 8 checks without booking anyone.
