Dust still with us, frosty over the mountains, rain on Tuesday

 

A high pressure system is affecting the area and a thin layer of dust persists in the atmosphere.

Increasingly high cloud later today. Winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly and in western coastal regions, variable, light to moderate, force three to four and in windward regions, moderate force four.

Seas will be calm to slight in western areas and slight in the rest of the coastal regions. Temperatures will rise to 20 degrees Celsius inland, 21 in coastal areas and 13 over the mountains.

Clear skies this evening, with overcast intervals.

Winds will be light northwesterly to northeasterly force three and in windward regions, moderate force three to four, over calm to slight seas, but slight in eastern and southern coastal areas.

Temperatures will drop to 7 degrees Celsius inland, 11 in coastal regions and 3 over the mountains where frost is expected to form.

Clear skies tomorrow, but turning increasingly overcast at intervals. Temperatures will remain well above the seasonal average.

Overcast skies will bring light showers on Tuesday, with Epiphany Day seeing increasingly high cloud.
