Dream Fighters seminar for young people

The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS), in collaboration with the Cyprus Youth Council.Συμβούλιο Νεολαίας Κύπρου.Kıbrıs Gençlik Konseyi, are organising an online seminar: “Dream Fighters: looking beyond gender stereotypes in your educational and career choices”

The seminar is for young people looking to take control of their lives and plan their future without letting gender stereotypes play a defining role in their decisions.

Seminar participants will come away with a better understanding of:

  • Gender stereotyping attitudes and behaviours.
  • How gender stereotypes affect educational and career choices, and how these can prevent us from reaching our full potential.
  • Innovative educational tools that bust gender stereotypes at school.

The free of charge, 2-hour seminar will be conducted via Zoom, on the following dates:

In Greek:
May 15, 2020
5:00 – 7:00 pm

In English:
May 20, 2020
5:00 – 7:00 pm

Seminar participants will receive a participation certificate, as well as a voucher for a light lunch.
