DNA tests will be required to identify the body of a man found near Cape Arnaouti in the Akamas earlier today, philenews reports citing police sources.
It said that the body was decomposed and had been battered on the rocks by the waves.
It was found by divers and other volunteers who with police have been looking for a 28 year old man reported missing about a month ago every day.
Close friends of the missing man reportedly were unable to conclusively identify the body.
Once police and the forensic pathologist conclude examination of the scene, the body will be taken to the mortuary for a post mortem examination to shed light on the cause of death and when it occurred.
