Distance Greek language learning for expats by Open University

The Open University of Cyprus launches its ‘Learning the Greek Language’ programme specially designed for distance learning for Greeks abroad.

The Thematic Units are offered in English via the e-Learning Platform (eClass) of the Open University of Cyprus.

The main objective of the Thematic Units Greek Language is to enable students to respond effectively to basic communication needs, with an emphasis on verbal communication. The Thematic Unit Introduction to the History of Cyprus aims to introduce students to the history of Cyprus, from antiquity to this day.

The e-Learning Platform will give students access to educational materials. Moreover, students will have full access to the database of the Open University of Cyprus, whilst at the same time their educational experience will be enriched with the technological tools used at Open University of Cyprus, which include, amongst others, power point presentations, online search for archival material, and audiovisual material.

The first module of the programme, ‘Greek Language I’, will begin in the spring semester of the academic year 2018-2019.

Interested parties can submit their admission applications for admission at www.ouc.ac.cy. by November 30.

Information about the programme can be found via www.ouc.ac.cy, by email to [email protected] and at 22411600 and 22411711.
