Agios Demetrios village is located in the northern part of Marathasa Valley at an altitude of 900 metres. It is a small village between Foini, Treis Elies and Palaiomylos.
Kryos Potamos passes through the village, which is surrounded by thick forest.
The village took its name from the church of Agios Demetrios.
At the village there is a Museum of Traditional Pottery. At the square there is a traditional “kamini” pottery, where old jars where made (pitharia). Many of these pitharia still decorate the gardens of local homes.
Today the village has only 60 permanent inhabitants.
