A decree banning passenger flights is being extended for another 14 days, Transport Minister Yiannis Karousos said on Thursday.
“Assessing the situation in the Republic of Cyprus but also given the dramatic situation in other states of Europe and in the world, we are extending the ban on flights for another fourteen (14) days,” he wrote on Twitter.
19 pic.twitter.com/E6YWQro2IX

The decree had come into effect at 3 am on March 21 for 14 days.
One of a series of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, it prohibits all but cargo flights, although the minister has made clear that the government has the authority to allow flights for humanitarian reasons.
This can be used to help repatriating Cypriots on flights being chartered by the government.
