The death of a 62-year-old biker after a road collision on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway near Moutayiaka on Wednesday morning has been attributed to pathological causes, the CNA reports.

The victim was named as Panayiotis Karanicolas, who lost control of his high powered motorbike which fell into a ditch.

The autopsy performed today at the Nicosia Hospital found that the cause of death was a heart attack and not a traffic accident.

Consequently, police are now investigating a case of sudden death and not a fatal road collision.
