Many incidents occurred during the Easter period in various areas of Cyprus, unfortunately involving young individuals and minors.
The issue is serious, and youth delinquency is dangerously increasing. The images from the attack by 70 people on the house of a 73-year-old in the Kiti area of Larnaca province on Holy Saturday night, which are recorded on video, are unbelievable and raise concerns.
Also concerning are the images of vandalism at a school in Livadia, where unknown young individuals burned a table and bench in the schoolyard and then broke windows and threw books and school equipment.
These images should shake the entire society and the parents of the children involved in such acts, which can have fatal consequences.
Perhaps we should start giving more importance to our children? Perhaps we should talk more with them and start listening to what they have to say?
