Cyprus puts clocks forward by one hour

Clocks went forward by one hour in the early hours of Sunday morning, in line with European norms.

Daylight saving time will end on Sunday 27 October 2019.

Last week Euro MEPs approved, by an overwhelming majority, draft legislation to abolish the biannual summer to winter time change.

The draft law stipulates that, prior to 2021, every member state will have the right to choose whether to continue with the daylight saving time throughout the year or keep standard time.
