Cyprus boasts 69 beaches on Blue Flag 2021 list

Cyprus boasts no less than 69 different beaches that were awarded the famous Blue Flag designation – the 2021 list of which was released a few days ago, according to Philenews.

The Blue Flag is actually a certification issued by the not-for-profit and non-governmental Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), verifying that a beach, marina or sustainable boating tourism operator meets certain standards.

These standards are considered rather stringent and are constantly updated and reconsidered.
