-Where do you like to enjoy your morning coffee?
-I usually have my coffee on the go, while wandering with my family in Athalassa Natural Forest Park in Nicosia.
-Which is your favorite city yard?
-Well, that’s an easy one! I really love my home yard, even though it’s tiny, since I use to have coffee and cookies with my parents there- a simple but significant ritual for me!
-Where can you find the best souvlaki in Nicosia?
-Definitely Syrian Arab Friendship Club is a top choice for me, where I go not only for souvlaki but also for its excellent grilled variety, mouthwatering dips and bold salads!
-Where do you find authentic Cyprus meze dishes?
– Farmakas restaurant is one of a kind, since here you can discover Maria’s scrumptious local dishes, all made with pure and high quality ingredients.
-Could you reveal a well-hidden city gem?
-When in Larnaca, I always seek to visit Restolake, a family restaurant close to Oroklini Salt Lake. Homemade pizzas are undoubtedly worth a try, while your kids will love the playground. And the best part? It takes only half an hour to get there from Nicosia!
– Which is your favorite kind of cuisine and where you can enjoy it in Cyprus?
-I prefer Japanese and Indian food. For sushi, I usually have delivery from Sushi yum yum restaurant which is located in Kennedy Avenue, while I discover authentic Indian dishes from India India restaurant (both dine-in and delivery).
-Any cocktails recommendations?
-At LOLA bar, owned by my beloved friends Micah and Elena, you can experience some of the best cocktails of all time, just like the extra-mint Hugo that is served there!
-And for delightful sweets?
For delicious desserts and attractive pastries I highly recommend Wood ‘n’ Fire, a cozy bakery in Strovolos, where you can find maybe the most prominent chocolate and cranberry cookies.
-Which corner of the island holds a special place in your heart?
-Troodos mountains, nevertheless! Getting out in nature! Camping and why not: a forest picnic! I’m a real nature lover, so whenever possible, I like to get to a forest!
