Two foreign nationals were arrested by Paphos police on Wednesday night for abusing the police officers who stopped them to check whether they had the documentation required to be out of the house, philenews reports.
Not only did they not have the documents, they were both drunk.
The driver was breathalysed with a reading of 95 mg which is more than four times the 22 mg legal limit. The passenger was also inebriated.
They were both shouting, provoking and insulting the police officers and were taken to the police station and detained overnight.
Today they were charged in writing to appear in court at a later date.
They were also booked for violating the decree restricting movement.
