Coronavirus: President thanks China for medical supplies, scientific expertise

President Nicos Anastasiades has thanked China for the medical supplies and for sharing their scientific expertise in the common fight against Covid 19.

In a message on Twitter, Anastasiades said: ” We are deeply grateful to President Xi Jinping, the Government of People’s Republic of China and the @AmbassadorHuang for the tangible support in providing us with medical supplies and sharing their scientific expertise in the common fight against #Covid19.”

And he attached a tweet from China’s ambassador which said: “A successful and efficient video conference on anti #COVID19 know-how sharing this morning between #China and 18 European countries including #Cyprus. Over 80 questions answered. Another step towards greater global efforts in bring the pandemic under control. ΜΑΖΙ ΜΠΟΡΟΥΜΕ.”

 

Last night, China’s ambassador in Nicosia announced that the first batch of medical supplies donated by China to Cyprus have been dispatched including 10,000 FFP2 masks.
