The Nicosia Municipality announced on Thursday it will provide food to the elderly population and vulnerable families of its Municipal Multipurpose Centre, and the Limassol Municipality said it is launching an emergency call centre to support the vulnerable.
The Nicosia Municipality explained that it will distribute a “solidarity basket” to the vulnerable who have no support network, and calls on the public who know someone in a difficult situation to call the number 22797007 (8 am – 2 pm Mon-Fri).
It was noted that during the distribution of the packages all measures announced by the Ministry of Health will be strictly adhered to.
The Limassol Municipality has launched the emergency helpline 77 77 77 88 (8 am – 2 pm Mon-Fri) to support vulnerable citizens whose movement is restricted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its announcement, the municipality said that anyone requiring guidance or help to obtain food or medicine or other support as a result of home confinement can call the line for assistance.
