Jet2.com has halted all outbound flights to Cyprus after the island’s authorities introduced measures to limit the coronavirus, it said on Twitter on Friday.
“As a result of these measures, we will not be flying any customers to Cyprus (Paphos and Larnaca) with immediate effect,” it said.
The airline will operate repatriation flights from Larnaca and Paphos until March 20 and is advising clients of their options.
Jet2 said: “This is a fast-moving and complex situation and we will review further options as it evolves.”
It said it was contacting all clients on the island to “advise them of their options”.
Effective from tomorrow Saturday, all passengers arriving from the UK will be classified as category 2 which means they will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
