Coronavirus: Entry exams to private schools pushed to April

The Ministry of Education said on Wednesday that entry exams to private schools are pushed to April in light of the latest preventive measures announced by the Ministry of Health for Coronavirus, namely the prohibition until March 31 of groups larger than 75 people to assemble indoors.

Entry exams were initially scheduled to start on Saturday, March 14.

All private schools have been informed accordingly via a circular issued by the Ministry of Education, which in turn are in the process of notifying affected pupils.

The temporary postponement of exams is deemed necessary for preventive purposes until the results of the latest suspected coronavirus incidents being tested become known.

The Ministry of Education together with other competent state services are constantly monitoring developments and will reassess the situation by the end of the week.
