The Health Ministry has just announced that it has revoked a clause in last night’s decree suspending the operation of car workshops.
It said a new decree would be issued today and that car workshops can continue to operate.
The ministry did not elaborate further.
But there was criticism on Wednesday morning that closing the car workshops could create problems, particularly to trucks needed to transport goods.
And the Chamber of Commerce has earlier asked the ministry to reconsider as it feared the impact this could have on supplying supermarkets and pharmacies.
The clause was part of a more general decree capping retail and wholesale prices for antiseptics, face masks and thermometers.
