Coronavirus: Another 261 booked for breaking movement ban

Police carried out 8435 checks in the past 24 hours to implement a stay at home decree, booking a total of 261.

The latest figures are for the 24 hour period from 6 am on March 26 to 6 am on March 27.

Nicosia: 2137 checks of drivers and pedestrians, 97 booked

Larnaca: 1124 checks of pedestrians and cars, 17 booked

Limassol:  1946 cars and pedestrians checked and 60 booked

Paphos: 1316  checks, 33 booked

Famagusta: 1119 checks, 49 booked

Morphou: 402 checks, none booked
