There are currently 20 patients diagnosed with coronavirus at Famagusta General Hospital which is the referral hospital for Covid-19, while one patient has recovered and was discharged today, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
Citing sources, it said that of the 20, two are in the unit for increased care. Two have been transferred to the ICU unit at Nicosia General Hospital and another patient is expected to be transferred there too, it added.
One patient was discharged today after a second negative test came back.
The hospital also operates a ‘drive through’ testing centre for those who are referred there through 1420 and after they have made an appointment.
They do not need to get out the car, just open the window so that nursing staff in special protective gear take the sample.
