It will be another cold day as high pressure and a cold air mass which will recede on Wednesday continue to affect the area.

All roads to Troodos are closed because of ice while other mountain roads are open only to four wheel drive cars and those equipped with snow chains.

Monday will be mainly fine and cold while Tuesday will be cloudy at intervals with light showers mainly from midday on. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with light showers and light snowfall in the highest Troodos peaks.

Temperatures will edge up gradually and by Wednesday will be close to average for the time of year.

The depth of snow in Troodos Square at the time of issue of the early morning weather bulletin was 67 cm.
